Electronically designs and prepares art and copy layouts for material to be screen printed or digitally imaged based on job requirements, customer specifications, and other related job information. Operates computer and other peripheral electronic equipment to complete job assignments by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates comprehensive illustrations, sketches, layouts, copy, blueprint and final production art for print reproduction according to instructions provided.
Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements as needed.
Creates separations and needed pre-press preparations to client provided artwork as well as internally created artwork for use in production processes
Accurately assesses and verifies all elements of production design and copy, including measurement and appearance inspection per Checklist – Form 8.3-001
Updates artwork files according to requirements as detailed within product running changes
One on One performance reviews as required with Process Development Team Lead.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Carries out conduct and leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with emphases in computer design; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator CS or higher and Adobe Acrobat.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.
